2717011 Parking Brake Spring Cylinder (Used) l SkyTrak

Item Description: Parking Brake Spring Cylinder

Part Number: 2717011

Condition: Used (Inspected Assembly)

Machine Compatibility: SkyTrak & JLG Telehandlers (Including 8042, 10042, 10054)

Category: Braking System / Emergency & Parking Brake Actuator

Product Overview

This is a genuine OEM SkyTrak/JLG Parking Brake Spring Cylinder, salvaged from a functioning telehandler. This safety-critical actuator uses a heavy internal mechanical spring to automatically engage the parking brake whenever hydraulic pressure is removed from the circuit (a Spring-Applied, Hydraulic-Released safety system).

When the operator releases the parking brake from the cab, hydraulic pressure enters the cylinder, compresses the heavy internal spring, and releases the brake. In the event of an engine stall or a catastrophic hydraulic pressure loss, this cylinder instantly defaults to its spring-extended state, mechanically locking the drivetrain to prevent the machine from rolling away.
